Watch the video to discover the show Empreinte d’Emotions
Like a stroll through several different spaces, the world of felines, the wide open spaces of wild herds in America and Africa, Empreinte d’Émotions is an invitation to journey through our feelings and let ourselves be surprised by a benevolent nature.
The story of an artistic encounter.
I had no idea when I met Betina Broussaud, sculptor, how much our artworks would mesh together and turn into an emotional exhibition. With Betina, we have worked for six monts to present this ode to nature at the 37th edition of Carrefour des Arts in Lalouvesc, a village in the mountains of Ardèche in the center of France.
Between frescoes and contemporary creations, each painting resonates with a sculpture to create a tableau full of life and emotion..
Some visitors think the artwork is by the same artist 😉
We share the same DNA. Working together was so simple and obvious. We met at the chapel twice. This unique place. We have created common tableaux based on our love for nature. We have talked about each one for a few minutes before heading back to our ateliers.
We want to invite people to observe, feel and respect animals, including wild animals before judging them.
Discover the art of Betina
At the age of 55, Betina Broussaud took up sculpture with no formal training in Art, other than a love of craftsmanship inherited from her cabinetmaker grandfather. Driftwood is the raw material from which she creates her sculptures of wild animals. She incorporates recycled metal for the parts she wants to highlight, as in this horse that seems to be dancing. And it is with the eyes that she begins each sculpture. She can spend several days working on them to create the right, benevolent look. Discover her art here
