Experimenting the transformative effect snow has on colors, details, and more importantly on shapes. Here I have used one of the technique that made Caravaggio so famous: starting a piece from a very dark surface to move towards the light.
I felt attracted by two beautiful patches of light in the background. I started there and worked on the middle tones, these yummy shades of grey and beige. Being outside in the cold creates the urgency of moving forward and being very focused.
